Pre-conference Workshops (19th – 20th of june 2012).

The workshops will take place on 19 and 20 of June, depending on it’s length, one or two days. On the registration section you can see the fees of the pre-conference workshops and do your registration. The general pre – conference schedule are from 9’30 to 17’30h.

Special symposiums (20th, 21st and 22nd of june 2012).

The special symposiums are part of the conference and will have a service of simultaneous translation spanish-english / english-spanish.

Symposium 1: Empowerment and human development in times of crisis and abundance.  Coordinator: Alipio Sánchez Vidal. Guests: Joan Subirats (España), Alba Zambrano (Chile) and David Chavis (USA).	Symposium 2: Violence: Challenges and Perspectives. Coordinator: Leonor Cantera (Puerto Rico). Guests: Wilson López-López (Colombia), Graciela Peyrú (Argentina) and Gabriel Salazar (Chile).	Symposium 3: Community psychology and public policies: background, limits and possibilities. Coordinator: Jaime Alfaro. Guests: Maria Vargas-Moniz y José Ornelas (Portugal),  Euclides Sánchez y Esther Wiesenfeld (Venezuela),  Alicia Rodríguez (Uruguay) and Mark Burton (UK).
Symposium 4: Critical community psychology and Participatory Action Research. Coordinators: Moises Carmona and Ruben D. Fernández. Guests: Carolyn Kagan (UK), Geoffrey Nelson (Canada) and Maritza Montero (Venezuela).	Symposium 5: Poverty and social exclusion within indigenous communities in Latin America. Coordinator: Gonzalo Musitu (Spain) Guests: M. Elena Ávila (México), Estefanía Estévez (Spain) and Teresa Isabel Jiménez (Spain).

Cultural and local exchange activities (21st, 22nd i 23rd of june 2012).

In the course of the conference there will be cultural activities and local exchange programs. These activities are an great opportunity to get to know some community actions developed in Barcelona city and to get to know cultural traditions. The 23rd of june Sant Joan festivity, a traditional feast that welcomes the arriving of the summer.
